Clear steps.
Clear terms.
Every engagement starts with an intake and a conversation, then a proposal with a clear fee shape. Here’s what to expect, and how billing works.
From intake to first day
Five steps, so you always know what happens next.
Send your intake
About ten minutes online. Rough answers are fine, and “not sure” is always an acceptable answer.
We read it ourselves
Expect a reply within two working days, with first questions and an indicative fee shape.
A first conversation
We talk through the work and timeline, and any contract or logistics questions flagged in your intake.
A clear proposal
Scope, fee structure and timeline, quoted in the currency that suits where you’re based.
Deposit, then we begin
A deposit of 30–50% confirms the engagement, and the work starts.
Three shapes of support
Not sure which fits? Choose “Not sure” in the intake and we’ll advise.
A one-off task
Billed hourly or by the dayFor a single piece of work, such as a contract review, an artist statement or an admin catch-up.
A defined project
Billed at a project rateFor work with a clear start and end, such as an exhibition, a commission or a publication.
Ongoing support
Billed as a monthly retainerFor continuous studio management and administration, month to month.
How billing works
- Engagements begin with a deposit of 30–50%.
- International engagements are billed in USD, GBP or EUR, adjusted for purchasing power, with 50% upfront.
- Travel, accommodation and materials are billed separately from our fees.
Reduced rates & pro-bono
- Reduced rates are held for projects directly serving Black, poor, LGBTQIA+, women & children, and disabled communities.
- NGOs and non-profits qualify for adjusted rates of 10–20%, or cost-sharing models.
- Selective pro-bono work is considered for community archives and emerging-artist mentorship.
Ready when you are.
The intake takes about ten minutes. Rough answers are fine.
